Every so often I will hear a prophetic word spoken by a prophet that hits so deeply I feel compelled to interpret it onto canvas. This piece is such a one. A “fire keeper” is a carrier of the fire of God, and is meant to share that fire. While the figure’s hands are there, being hidden gives the idea that holy fire is not meant to be contained. We are called to be lights in dark places; we must carry Holy Spirit inside us to be beacons of His great light. Don’t hide your lamp under a bushel…let your flame carry as far as the winds blow!
