Do you have a praying mother or grandmother in your life? This piece is an ode to the intercessory nature of our mother figures. Praying for a child is a great sacrifice; the ultimate surrendering of a nurturer to the One who created her for that role. A mother’s prayer lets go and allows their precious one(s) to soar on eagle’s wings…her faith is powerful and uplifting to those around her.
This piece was created for a contest with a certain Native American organization. While it did not win, it allowed me to present it that much sooner to my shop. It was my honor to participate in something that connects to my heritage and supports the edification of families.
