Owls, the perennial icon of wisdom and longevity. An older couple that has lived a full life and sent their children into living their own has seen and weathered much together. They are each other’s resting place, living out their winter years calmly and slowly. They know that time is precious, and even more so the time they spend together. The generation after them knows where to look when it comes to life well-lived and faith well-worn. The winter years are truly golden.

The featured owl is the barred owl. The concept was inspired by a scene from a “quiet music” video, which perfectly encapsulated the picture I wanted to create for this stage of relationshipping.
