Over the past year, God has specifically focused me on the power of our words. Up till that time, I did not pay much mind to the act of decreeing and declaring, but since He started me on that path of discovery, it has made much more sense. I’m still practicing getting proficient in action, but I am diligent in reminding those in my reach about speaking life over themselves and their circumstances. This painting in particular has been in my head for a few months, but the timing of actually creating it could not be better. In a season where the world looks hazy because of what’s going on, there is no better time to let our words carry the bloom and fragrance of God’s love and provision!

Proverbs 18:20-21 (NIV)–From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
