Vendor Spotlight: Grand Story Ornaments

Vendor Spotlight: Grand Story Ornaments

There are some traditions that stay with us forever. The smell of Christmas dinner filling the house. The glow of lights shining through the windows on a cold evening. The quiet laughter of family gathered around the tree. For many people, ornaments are simply decorations, but for Lisa Goss, the owner of Grand Story Ornaments, they represent something far deeper. They tell stories of faith, family, remembrance, and the goodness of God through every season of life.

Lisa grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania surrounded by family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents all lived nearby, creating a close-knit environment filled with warmth and togetherness. Holidays were especially meaningful in her childhood home, and Christmas became one of the most treasured times of the year. She remembers the beauty of the lights throughout town and the joy of decorating the Christmas tree together as a family.

For Lisa, hanging ornaments was never just another holiday task. Each ornament carried memories and meaning. Every piece on the tree seemed to represent a story, a moment in time, or something unique about a family member. Decorating became an experience of remembering, celebrating, and cherishing the people God had placed in their lives.

Now as a wife and homeschooling mother of two living in West Texas, Lisa continues those same traditions with her own family, even while living far from her extended relatives. Though distance has changed some things, the heart behind the tradition remains the same. The Christmas season is still centered around togetherness, reflection, and creating meaningful memories rooted in love and faith.

Long before becoming a mother herself, Lisa was introduced to something that would later shape the foundation of her business. A dear friend once gave her a book about the Jesse Tree tradition. The Jesse Tree is a meaningful Advent practice that walks through the story of Scripture from Creation all the way to the birth of Jesus. Each day in December includes a devotional reading paired with a symbolic ornament connected to the story being told.

The tradition deeply impacted Lisa. She loved how it connected families to the larger story of God’s redemption and faithfulness throughout Scripture. Year after year, she dreamed of creating her own set of Jesse Tree ornaments, but life moved forward and the idea remained tucked away in her heart.

Then God opened the door in an unexpected way.

After becoming a mother, Lisa met another mom who shared the same desire to create meaningful Jesse Tree ornaments for families. Together they began designing what would eventually become the very first collection for Grand Story Ornaments. What started as a shared dream between friends slowly became a business rooted in creativity, storytelling, and faith.

Today, the heart behind Grand Story Ornaments is still the same. Lisa creates ornaments that help families remember what matters most. Her work is inspired by Scripture, worship music, and the stories shared by her customers. Whether she is designing faith-centered ornaments or preserving meaningful memories through custom pieces, Lisa sees every creation as part of a greater story that God is writing.

What makes Grand Story Ornaments especially meaningful is the way Lisa views the lives of others. She does not simply see customers placing orders. She sees people carrying testimonies, memories, celebrations, grief, milestones, and reminders of God’s faithfulness. Through her artwork, she helps preserve those moments in ways that can be passed down for generations.

There is something deeply powerful about that.

In a world that moves quickly and often forgets the importance of reflection, businesses like Grand Story Ornaments remind people to slow down and remember. Remember where God has brought them from. Remember the prayers He answered. Remember the loved ones who shaped their lives. Remember the hope found in Christ.

Lisa’s journey has not been without hardship. The past several years have brought immense challenges as she cared for her mother through cancer while also recovering from a serious car accident herself. Balancing family life, homeschooling, caregiving, healing, and running a business has not been easy. Many business owners understand how overwhelming those seasons can become.

Yet through it all, Lisa continues to point back to the faithfulness of God.

Even in uncertainty, she believes God has sustained both her family and the business for His purposes. That perspective is woven into everything Grand Story Ornaments represents. It is not a story of perfect circumstances or easy success. It is a testimony of perseverance, surrender, and trusting God one step at a time.

For many Christian entrepreneurs, Lisa’s story will feel familiar. There are seasons where dreams seem delayed. Seasons where responsibilities grow heavier. Seasons where business becomes difficult while personal challenges unfold behind the scenes. In those moments, it can be tempting to wonder whether God still sees the work being done.

But stories like Lisa’s remind us that God is always working, even in hidden places.

Sometimes the very struggles we walk through become the testimony that encourages someone else to keep going. Sometimes God uses the gifts placed in our hands not only to provide income, but to minister to others in ways we never expected. A simple ornament may seem small to some people, but when it carries a memory, a Scripture, or a reminder of God’s love, it becomes something far more meaningful.

Grand Story Ornaments is built on that truth.

It is about telling stories that matter.

It is about pointing hearts back to Jesus during a season that can often become distracted by noise and busyness.

It is about helping families create traditions that strengthen faith and connection with one another.

Most importantly, it is about remembering the greatest story ever told: the story of God’s redemption through Jesus Christ.

As Lisa continues creating and serving others through her business, her work stands as a reminder that God often uses ordinary gifts in extraordinary ways. Creativity can become ministry. Family traditions can become testimonies. Even the smallest details can carry eternal significance when surrendered to Him.

For readers who may be walking through difficult seasons themselves, Lisa’s story offers encouragement to remain faithful where God has planted them. The road may not always be easy, and the timing may not always make sense, but God does not waste anything. He sees every sacrifice, every prayer, every late night, and every act of obedience.

And just like the ornaments hanging on a Christmas tree, each season of life tells part of a greater story.

A story of grace.

A story of redemption.

A story of God’s unwavering faithfulness.
