Vendor Spotlight: Positively Adaptive Services
Finding Purpose Beyond Limitations
Some businesses begin with a dream, while others begin with a calling. For Positively Adaptive Services, that calling grew from a lifelong desire to serve others and a determination to show that no obstacle is too great for God to use. Founded by Elisa Neven-Pugh, Positively Adaptive Services is more than a business. It is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to encouraging people through motivational speaking, crisis support, disability advocacy, and writing. Through every opportunity she receives, Elisa seeks to remind others that their circumstances do not define their purpose. Instead, God can use every challenge to reveal His strength and accomplish His greater plan.
Raised by a first responder father and a selfless mother, Elisa learned the value of serving others from an early age. Watching their example instilled in her a desire to help people through life’s most difficult moments. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Women & Gender Studies and becoming a Certified Crisis Worker, she looked forward to pursuing a career where she could put those gifts into practice. However, living with cerebral palsy quadriplegia meant facing barriers that many employers were not prepared to accommodate. Rather than allowing those obstacles to discourage her, Elisa recognized an opportunity to create something of her own. About six months after graduation, she launched Positively Adaptive Services, building a platform where she could fully use her education, experience, and God-given calling while serving others through a biblical worldview.
A Ministry Built on Faith
Faith is woven into every part of Elisa’s work. She believes Christ continually shapes her heart, helping her become someone who leads with both compassion and conviction. As a crisis worker and advocate, she regularly encounters people with different beliefs, experiences, and perspectives. God gives her the wisdom to listen with understanding while also standing firm in truth when advocating for those who need support. She explains that Christ brings out the best qualities within her while gently refining the areas that still need growth. That ongoing transformation allows her to love people well without compromising her convictions, reflecting the grace, peace, and joy found only in Him.
Rather than measuring success by numbers or recognition, Elisa measures it by faithfulness. Every conversation, speaking engagement, coaching session, or opportunity to advocate for others becomes another chance to reflect Christ’s love and remind people that they are seen, valued, and created with purpose. Her mission has never been simply to build a business. It has always been to build God’s Kingdom by serving others with the gifts He has entrusted to her.
Inspiring Others to Live With Purpose
In addition to her advocacy work, Elisa is also the author of two books that encourage readers to approach life with responsibility, resilience, and hope. While each book has its own unique message, both share a common truth: it is not our abilities or our circumstances that determine our impact, but how we choose to use the gifts God has given us. She challenges readers to stop allowing setbacks to define their future and instead begin taking intentional steps toward the purpose God has placed before them.
Elisa openly shares that her first book came from a place of deep conviction. She became frustrated by the tendency people often have, including herself at times, to blame God or difficult circumstances instead of taking responsibility for the choices within their control. Her desire was never to condemn but to encourage. She hopes readers will recognize that while they cannot always choose what happens to them, they can choose how they respond. Through faith, perseverance, and action, every person has the ability to make a meaningful difference in the world around them.
Looking to Christ for Strength
When asked who inspires her most, Elisa’s answer is immediate: Jesus Christ. His willingness to endure suffering, face the cross, and triumph through the resurrection serves as her greatest example of perseverance and hope. She believes that if Christ could endure unimaginable pain for the sake of humanity, then His followers can also face life’s trials with confidence, knowing that He walks beside them every step of the way.
That perspective has become the foundation of her own journey. Rather than focusing on what she cannot do, Elisa chooses to focus on what God can do through her. She believes limitations do not prevent God from fulfilling His purposes. In many ways, they provide opportunities for His power to shine even brighter. Her story reminds others that our greatest challenges often become the very places where God reveals His faithfulness most clearly, using our weaknesses to display His strength.
Encouraging Fellow Christian Entrepreneurs
Building a business is rewarding, but it also comes with moments of disappointment, uncertainty, and emotional fatigue. Elisa knows those seasons well, which is why her advice to fellow Christian entrepreneurs is both honest and heartfelt: don’t hide from your emotions. Trying to bury frustration, fear, or discouragement doesn’t make them disappear. Instead, those emotions eventually rise to the surface and can affect both your personal life and the way you serve others. Rather than carrying those burdens alone, she encourages business owners to bring every disappointment before God. Like a loving Father, He welcomes every hurt, every unanswered prayer, and every setback. Elisa believes that when we trust Him with our struggles instead of pretending we’re strong enough to handle them ourselves, He provides the peace, wisdom, and direction we need. Authentic faith isn’t about having all the answers or never feeling discouraged. It’s about continually surrendering your heart to Christ and trusting Him to lead you through every season of the journey.
Living Proof That Purpose Has No Limits
Positively Adaptive Services reflects the heart of its founder in every way. It is a ministry built on compassion, strengthened by perseverance, and guided by an unwavering commitment to Christ. Through advocacy, crisis support, motivational speaking, and writing, Elisa Neven-Pugh continues to encourage people to look beyond their circumstances and embrace the purpose God has placed before them. Her life demonstrates that physical limitations never limit God’s ability to work through a willing heart. She reminds us that every person has been given unique gifts, and when those gifts are surrendered to God, they become powerful tools for serving others and advancing His Kingdom.
As 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Elisa’s story beautifully reflects that promise. Through unwavering faith, perseverance, and complete dependence on Christ, she continues to inspire others to move beyond their limitations, trust God’s greater purpose, and discover that with Him, every obstacle can become an opportunity to glorify His name.
